In the past 3 years, what have you done to improve your skills as a real estate professional?
The past 3 years have been the most eye opening years of my real estate career. I obtained my broker’s license 3 years ago and became a principal broker. Mentoring, teaching, guiding, and growing others have always been at the core of my real estate passion. I have personally seen many grow over the years. Still holding that principal broker position and now Property Manager, I have put needs of others above mine. We as leaders have to set an example for others and prepare others to enter into positions that we have held. An example would be completing the AREA Leadership Class of 2024 for the State of Tennessee. Not only was I encouraged to apply but I also encouraged others to apply. I am honored to be running for this position with a fellow graduate of the Class of 2024. Other skillsets have been improved by obtaining my C2EX while accomplishing the Tennessee President’s Challenge. I have attended and assisted in facilitated local functions for CAR, attended Tennessee Fall Conferences to include Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and other Fall Conferences. Recently, I traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the Conference for Realtors that welcomed realtors from all over the world. Speaking with realtors from around the world was very eye opening. To hear their experiences was satisfying in itself. Creating relationships has created a new skillset, as well.

What is your history of service to this association and its members?
My history to this association and members is extensive to include in assisting in one of the most viewed and talked about videos for DEI. The video truly showed the passion of CAR. I have served on the board of directors from 2023-2024, budget and finance from 2024-early 2025, DEI committee conception- 2025 (vice chair 2022/chair 2023), RPAC Committee 2021- 2025 (Vice Chair 2024/Chair 2025 but resigned in March for personal reasons). Professional Development Committee from 2016-2024(Vice Chair 2021/Chair 2022), Professional Standards Committee 2018-2021, State Professional Standards Committee 2022, Graduate of Leadership Academy in 2016, Award Winner of Distinguished Education in years 2018, 2019, 2020. I have personally purchased gifts for RPAC to use for events and helped raised money, designed different gifts/prizes, and with help from others we successfully helped the community with giving away thanksgiving
dinners/Christmas gifts/school supplies/etc. The history runs deep and I’m grateful.

Why are you seeking the seat that you are?
There are many reasons, however, the most important reason is change and transparency. Many have expressed that the association is not transparent enough but my goal is to create the transparency that we offer. If we
can teach the realtor members where to access any piece of information, this would be much more effective. To strive to gain the trust of the realtor members. We have an amazing association and I would love to gain more member engagement by hearing out the members one by one if I have to. I would like to get a fresh start with some members that could make a difference and keep engaging with the members that already participate
.

What do you feel are your strongest attributes that you will bring to this position if elected?
I feel my strongest attributes are my familiarity with not only the association but the bylaws/policies/procedures/etc that I would love to share with our members. I have been side by side with president elects, presidents, and other members in the association that have taught me how to become an effective leader in the association. With this knowledge, I can engage with our members and teach our members to get involved. Our members are our future leaders and we need to treat everyone as so.

Additional comments:
The association has always been a passion of mine. However, if I have a question to ask, I’m not afraid to speak up. If one of our members has a question, I encourage them to seek the answer and give guidance on where to find the answer to that question if I did not know. I believe in this association and the astounding amount of potential our members have. I have first hand witnessed the creativeness the members have, the hard workers, passionate givers, members who give so much and expect nothing in return. Ever since I was able to join a committee, I have been involved. The next step that I can accomplish is to become president-elect and hopefully I can gain your vote to do so.
