How long have you been a member of CAR?

I have been a member of the Clarksville Association of REALTORS® since 2018. Over that time, I have had the opportunity to serve not only as a REALTOR®, but also in leadership and brokerage roles that have given me a broader perspective on what our members need from their association.

In the past 3 years, what have you done to improve your skills as a real estate professional?
The past three years have been a significant period of professional growth for me. I have continued to expand my knowledge of contracts, compliance, risk management, brokerage operations, and the ever-changing responsibilities that come with being a real estate professional and broker.

I have also made education and professional development a priority—not just for myself, but for the agents I work alongside. I have developed and taught training on contracts, inspections, compliance, negotiations, and the practical issues agents encounter throughout a transaction. I believe one of the best ways to grow as a professional is to stay curious, continue learning, and then share that knowledge with others.

What is your history of service to this association and its members (committees, events, etc.)?
I have been involved in YPN, RPAC, Professional Development, Professional Standards, Budget & Finance, and previously served as a director.  I have also supported association and REALTOR® initiatives through SOS Foundation, Handbags for Hope, Education, Advocacy, RPAC, and numerous other events over the years. I am a graduate of the CAR Leadership Academy and TNREALTORS AREA Leadership. My service is not only limited to CAR. I also serve in the Kentucky associations and at the state level as YPN Forum Vice Chair for 2026 and chair for 2027.

However, my service to the real estate community has often extended beyond holding a committee title. I have consistently looked for ways to support REALTORS® through education, mentorship, events, and day-to-day problem solving. As a broker, a large part of my role is helping colleagues navigate compliance, contracts, ethics, and difficult situations. I see that as another form of service to our membership helping make our industry stronger one REALTOR® at a time.

Why do you serve at the association?
I serve because I believe REALTORS® are stronger when we work together. An association should be more than an organization we pay dues to. It should be a resource, an advocate, an educator, and a voice for our members and the communities we serve. I have always been someone who is willing to step in, help solve a problem, share what I know, and advocate for what I believe is best for our members. Serving at CAR gives me an opportunity to do that on a larger scale and contribute to the profession that has given me so much.

Why do you want to be Director?
I want to be a Director because I believe my experience gives me a valuable perspective to bring to the table. I have worked as an agent, team leader, broker, trainer, and business owner, and I understand that REALTORS® at different stages of their careers have very different needs. I want to help make sure those perspectives are represented. I also believe leadership requires more than having an opinion. It requires listening, asking good questions, understanding the issues, and being willing to make thoughtful decisions; even when they aren’t always the easiest ones.

What do you feel are your strongest attributes that you will bring to the table if elected?
My strongest attributes are experience, perspective, communication, and a willingness to just do the work. I am not afraid to ask questions or have difficult conversations when they need to happen, but I also believe strongly in listening and understanding different perspectives before making decisions. I bring a broker’s understanding of risk and compliance, an agent’s understanding of the day-to-day realities of the business, and an educator’s desire to make information practical and accessible.

Most importantly, I care about people. I want our members to feel that their association understands the realities of this business and is working to help them succeed.

What are your leadership goals you bring to CAR if you win your position?
My goal would be to help CAR be an association that REALTORS® see as valuable, accessible, and worth being involved in.
I would like to focus on:
-Continuing to provide practical education that helps REALTORS® become better professionals.
-Making sure members understand the resources and benefits available to them.

Encouraging greater member engagement and participation.
Supporting advocacy efforts that protect homeownership and the real estate profession.
Creating opportunities for REALTORS® to connect, learn from one another, and build stronger professional relationships.
Making sure the voice of the working REALTOR® is represented when decisions are being made.

Ultimately, I want to help build an association where members don’t just ask, “What do I get from CAR?” but also see the value in asking, “What can I contribute to CAR?” Leading by example is a key part of who I am as a broker and agent.

Any additional statement or information:
I have spent a large part of my career building businesses, developing agents, solving problems, and advocating for the people I represent. I would bring that same mindset to serving as a Director. I don’t believe leadership is about having the loudest voice in the room. I believe it is about being willing to listen, learn, ask the hard questions, and then show up and do the work.

I would be honored to have the opportunity to serve CAR and its members, and I would take that responsibility seriously. My goal isn’t simply to hold a position. it’s to use the experience I’ve gained throughout my career to help make our association and our profession stronger.
